BRING BACK THE 4TH FIREWORKS AT LAKE ALMANOR

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Please help us get the word out. Chester, Ca is competing for a $10,000 grant provided by Liberty Mutual Insurance. We have until June 14th, 2011 to enter an online contest for a chance to win one of ten $10,000 grants to support our Fourth of July celebration and fireworks display over Lake Almanor.

All you need to do is visit www.BringBackThe4th.com between now and June14th and take a short multiple choice quiz on “Responsible Moments in U.S. History.” The quiz is fun and quick. Each completed quiz counts as one credit towards Chester total score. At end of quiz just enter Chester, Ca 96020 so Chester gets the credit. Then make sure to come visit the area for the 4th of July.

Please note the contest allows for one quiz per person. So please visit www.BringBackthe4th.com today, take the quiz and pass this on to a friend.

Thanks for your help.

Fun things to do in area

Black Mountain Lookout in the Plumas National Forest is announcing the Grand Opening of the Black Mountain Lookout recreation rental on May 26th, 2011. The lookout is situated in the eastern edge of the Beckwourth Ranger District, 10 miles from Hey. 395 near Milford, Ca. The lookout offers striking views of Honey Lake to the north and Last Chance Creek to the south. This would be a great year to see Honey Lake, it rarely is any fuller. Many years you can drive by and see only a dry lake bed. The fee is sixty dollars per night, accommodating us to eight visitors. For further information call Beckwourth Ranger District at 530-836-2575. Be part of history. A nice way out it to drive over hill to Antelope Lake, then down to Taylorsville and then come see us at the St. Bernard Lodge. Even if you don’t want to spend the night we can fix you a great lunch or dinner, just call ahead and let us know you are coming. 0
