Historic Longboard Ski Races at Johnsville

Come enjoy this special day of fun March 18, 2012 at the Plumas Eureka Ski Bowl. Event goes from 11 am – 3pm. It is a day of family fun come experience the “good old days” Racers are decked out in period clothing and using authentic longboard skis.

Come see if you can beat the 1st speed skier record set in 1867 of eighty-eight miles per hour. This record was set by Cornish Bob on twelve foot long wooden skis using the magic “dope” concoction made by Bill Church. For more information call 800-326-2247. Watch video from last year.

  1. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be precisely what I’m looking for. can you offer guest writers to write content available for you? I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a number of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome site!
