Photography is more than an art which takes us places unexplored, undiscovered and never thought of! For a photographer, it’s nothing else but giving your own eyes to the world. We thought of bringing together many such magical moments by the way of Expressions 2012- Tumbhi Photography Contest-Nature and Wildlife Special.

Thumbhi photo contest welcomes, anything you find beautiful in Nature and Wildlife category. This may include landscapes, seascapes, orange sunrises, golden sunsets, wild-remote-vivid places, stars and moons, dark or fair clouds , animals beautiful in their own way of violence or innocence, their mating or fighting, the flying birds or the new born chicks, beaks or wings, ants or whales, anything natural and admirable!

Our special contest jury is a special achiever too! Mr. Sunjoy Monga – one of the finest naturalist and wildlife photographer, as well as a well-known writer.

Themes/Categories

The  contest invites entries in two categories: Nature and Wildlife.

Nature Photography

Nature  photographs include photographs taken outdoors. Photos in this category display  natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural  scenes and textures. In Nature photography, more emphasis is put on the  aesthetic value of the photo than other photography genres, such as  photojournalism and documentary photography.

Wildlife  Photography

Photographs in this  category capture animals in action: such as eating, fighting, or in journey.  Such photos are usually shot in the wild. However, game farms are also a  frequent location for wildlife photography.
