The St. Bernard Lodge nails it again--on the Mendocino Coast the place to visit is the Point Cabrillo Light Station, including accommodations on site. The history of the lighthouse is fascinating, but even more so is what happened in 1850 to the Baltimore-built clipper brig "Frolic," en-route to Gold Rush San Francisco from China; it wrecked on a reef just north of today's lighthouse. Visit the website for the dive records, including a video of what the divers saw, and much, much more.

Thank you for doing this. I just took the quiz so Chester gets one credit from me. I didn't see any fireworks on the LACC Events Calendar, so I'm guessing that there currently is not sufficient funding for fireworks??? Can you enlighten me & also tell me if there is a fund raising website where we might donate?

Thank you again,
Teresa Maloney

Your hospitality is FABULOUS. You really know how to make someone feel like part of the family.
The food was suprisingly delicious. The pool game fun. The room, just fine. The hot tub, WOW.
The location..heavenly. I hope to visit you again soon. Trey
