Our charming bed and breakfast rooms are the ultimate back-to-nature retreat for individuals, couples, families, and groups. We offer seven separate rooms that, booked together, can accommodate up to 20 guests.
Depending on the room, two – four guests are allowed per room. At this time, online reservations are limited to two guests per room. If you wish to have additional guests in the room, there is an extra charge, and you need to call the lodge directly.
When you stay with us, you will experience the rustic relaxation of a wilderness escape without sacrificing the finest of modern comforts and amenities, including air conditioning and heating. Each room is a little different. Please look at the photos on the website or call us to help you choose the best room for you.
Though we encourage our guests to unplug and relax during their stay, we provide WiFi throughout the lodge and a TV in the tavern for your enjoyment.
All rooms feature Comfy sheets, towels, plush robes, and complimentary soaps and shampoo. In style with an old European Bed and Breakfast, full bathrooms are down the hall. Each room has a sink in it for your convenience.
Coffee is available upstairs for early morning risers.
Our hearty breakfast is served in our dining room every morning from 8:00-9:30 am. A full breakfast is included in your daily rate. Breakfast orders need to be placed the evening before. Our quaint dining room is decorated with antiques, and historical memorabilia, lending it a soothing, timeless atmosphere that our guests love. Guests can also enjoy meals and drinks in our full-service on-site tavern. Outside dining is available on our patio during the summer months, with breathtaking views of Carter Mountain.
St. Bernard Lodge offers more than just a room; dinner is available with advance reservations for guests. A full bar is open to unwind after a day of hiking. The lodge is convenient to the SW entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lake Almanor, and the town of Chester. Warner Valley (Drakesbad), Juniper Lake, Cinder Cone, and Subway Caves. All are within a scenic hour’s drive from St. Bernard Lodge.
Sunrise Room
Every morning, brilliant sunrise filters into the Sunrise Room, illuminating the space with warm, inviting shades of white and blue. This room offers breathtaking views of the mountains, forest, horse pasture, and trout ponds. The Sunrise Room features rustic wood paneled walls and two comfortable Queen Sized Beds. You will wake up every morning with miraculous nature panoramas and the pleasant warmth of the California sun.

This bright and cheery room is perfectly situated to catch the gorgeous afternoon sun. You’ll also enjoy lovely views of Lost Creek and the lush surrounding forests. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book on one of our relaxing chairs or simply soak in the gorgeous sunrise or sunset. This room has two comfortable full-sized beds.

Evergreen Room
Warm shades of deep burgundy and invigorating forest green greet you as you step into the welcoming Evergreen Room. This room is perfect for the no-frills traveler who wants clean and comfortable accommodations during their rustic mountain escape. Gorgeous views of Carter Mountain and the surrounding forests and streams make the Evergreen Room one of our favorites. Evergreen has one king bed.
